このコラムではLIBERTY代表、藤川恭宏のご学友の国際法の教授であられた長田祐卓 (Osada Yutaka) 先生のボキャブラリー集を皆様に提供させていただきます。
長田先生は慶應義塾大学、法学部、同大学院（博士課程在学中、アメリカトップランキング校の一つ、ジョージタウン大学ローセンターに留学）博士課程終了後、母校慶応大学、駿河台大学、尚美学園大学、大学院で教鞭を取られました。国際法の中でも特に宇宙法を研究され、慶応大学から今年、博士号を授与されました。
このコラムでは特別に長田祐卓先生の長年、蓄積されたとても貴重なボキャブラリー集をご紹介させていただくことになりました。

elide [イライド] (vt.) 削除する、省く　*See, strke out, leave out, omit

Some unnecessary verbiage will need to be elided, but otherwise the article is publishable.

若干の不必要な言い回しは削除する必要があるだろうが、その他の点では論文は出版することができる。

The “t” in “often” may be elided.

“often”の“t”はしばしば省略される。

部隊は乗船を待っている。
