*quid pro quo
=this for that =
Whether consciously or unconsciously, till the last moment of our life we continue to face choices and never fail to make a myriad of decisions simultaneously or thereafter not exactly knowing at the very moment if we are making a right decision:we are sometimes simply at the mercy of fate unpredictable, but we must simply be aware that every little bit of difference we make at each particular occasion of choice will be eventually making a great difference when you look back a few years or even two score of years away from now or when we at last face the death bed singing a swan song.
Then we may not only know that the name of the game of our life is simply Quid Pro Quo,this for that, after all
but also that it is too late to wallow in the luxuary of emotios of sorrow and regret on your past decisions per se.
As is advocated by epicureans or zen buddhists, which says No time like the Present
*Vice Versa
the position being reversed )
We hate them , and vice versa ( they hate us, too ).
TOEFL iBT
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,+and + vice versa.
What is in my concern is also in yours and vice versa.
And vice versa?
*Carpe diem. / Seize the day. by Horatius
Seize the day!
*alma mater
*Memento mori. / Think of death. /
Carpe diem.
*per se =in itself
I wouldn’t call him short, per se. Maybe he is just challenged vertically.
*i.e. / abbreviation of id est
that is to say / namely / in other words
*e.g. / abbreviation of example gratia
for example / for instance
*ad hominem
to the man / to the person
*status quo
*non sequitur
