Vocabulary Building from Mr. Osada : Day50
このコラムではLIBERTY代表、藤川恭宏のご学友の国際法の教授であられた長田祐卓 (Osada Yutaka) 先生のボキャブラリー集を皆様に提供させていただきます。
長田先生は慶應義塾大学、法学部、同大学院（博士課程在学中、アメリカトップランキング校の一つ、ジョージタウン大学ローセンターに留学）博士課程終了後、母校慶応大学、駿河台大学、尚美学園大学、大学院で教鞭を取られました。国際法の中でも特に宇宙法を研究され、慶応大学から今年、博士号を授与されました。
このコラムでは特別に長田祐卓先生の長年、蓄積されたとても貴重なボキャブラリー集をご紹介させていただくことになりました。

caveat [キャビアット] (n.) 警告、注意（点）、（法律）差し止め請求

どんな法的訴訟に関する議論にも費用に関する注意が先行しなければならばい。

cease [スィース] (vi.vt.)
The fighting along the border has temporarily ceased. 国境付近での戦闘が一時中断した。

会社は写真の販売を停止するよう裁判所から命じられた。*cease and desist は法律用語で「停止する」の意。
